Nigel Craddock started Commercial Underwater Contractors Ltd in 1990, establishing the company as a specialist diving company that built a strong reputation in the industry. However, it was the company’s decision to expand into coastal defence and flood prevention projects that really set it apart and paved the way for its success.

With the success of its new venture, the company rebranded as Commercial Marine & Piling ltd in 1992. The company’s dedication to efficiency and quality work helped to establish it as a leader in the industry.

Commercial Marine & Piling made significant investments in state-of-the-art equipment and ongoing workforce development. These strategic moves further boosted the company’s reputation as an innovative and efficient service provider.

In 2016, the company underwent a major restructuring process. This led to the formation of STEEL PILING SOLUTIONS Ltd, a commercial land and marine piling company that retains similar work ethics and a collaborative approach to clients.
